Day-by-day plan
Day 1: Arrive and settle in Darjeeling; stroll the Mall and Chowrasta.
Day 2: Pre-dawn Tiger Hill sunrise, Batasia Loop, Ghoom Monastery and a tea-estate visit; afternoon toy-train joyride.
Day 3: Himalayan Zoo, Mountaineering Institute and Peace Pagoda before departure.

- Best time: October to December and March to May for clear mountain views; the monsoon (June–September) is lush but drives are slower.
