Day-by-day plan
Day 1: Arrive Darjeeling.
Day 2: Tiger Hill sunrise, toy train and tea estates.
Day 3: Transfer to Kalimpong via the Teesta valley.
Day 4: Kalimpong — Deolo Hill, Durpin Monastery and the nurseries.
Day 5: Depart via Bagdogra/NJP.

- Best time: October to December and March to May for clear mountain views; the monsoon (June–September) is lush but drives are slower.
