Dzukou Valley Trek: The Valley of Flowers of the North East

The Dzukou Valley, straddling the Nagaland–Manipur border near Kohima, is one of the North East's most beautiful and accessible treks — a rolling green valley famous for its seasonal wildflowers.

The trek

A steep initial climb from Viswema or Zakhama gives way to gentle valley walking, usually done as an overnight with a stay at the basic rest house or camping.

When to go

June to September brings the famous carpets of Dzukou lilies and wildflowers; October to March offers crisp, clear trekking.

  • 1–2 day trek from near Kohima
  • Flowers: June–September
  • Basic rest house or camping
  • Pairs with the Hornbill Festival

We arrange guided Dzukou treks with logistics handled — request net rates.
