7-Day Sikkim Itinerary: East, North & West

This 7-day sikkim itinerary is designed to be well-paced and realistic, with sensible drive times built in. Indian nationals need inner-line permits for protected areas such as Tsomgo, Nathula and North Sikkim, which we arrange.

Day-by-day plan

Day 1: Arrive, transfer to Gangtok.

Day 2: Tsomgo Lake and Nathula Pass.

Day 3-4: North Sikkim — Lachung, Yumthang Valley and (season allowing) Gurudongmar Lake.

Day 5: Drive to Pelling in West Sikkim.

Day 6: Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse ruins and the Kanchenjunga waterfall.

Day 7: Depart via Bagdogra/NJP.

Good to know

  • Gateway: Bagdogra Airport (about 4–5 hours by road to Gangtok)
  • Best time: March to May for rhododendrons and clear skies, October to mid-December for the crispest Kanchenjunga views, and December to March for snow around Tsomgo and North Sikkim.
  • Itinerary is flexible — we adjust the pace and stays to suit your clients
