This sikkim silk route itinerary is designed to be well-paced and realistic, with sensible drive times built in. Indian nationals need inner-line permits for protected areas such as Tsomgo, Nathula and North Sikkim, which we arrange.
Day-by-day plan
Day 1: Arrive and drive to Zuluk via the Teesta valley.
Day 2: Sunrise at Thambi View Point, the famous zig-zag road, Lungthung and Nathang Valley.
Day 3: Kupup Lake, Baba Mandir and on to Gangtok.
Day 4: Depart via Bagdogra/NJP.
Good to know
- Gateway: Bagdogra Airport (about 4–5 hours by road to Gangtok)
- Best time: March to May for rhododendrons and clear skies, October to mid-December for the crispest Kanchenjunga views, and December to March for snow around Tsomgo and North Sikkim.
- Itinerary is flexible — we adjust the pace and stays to suit your clients
