Tawang Monastery Tour Packages, Arunachal Pradesh
Perched at over 10,000 feet, Tawang Monastery is the largest in India and the second-largest in the world — a spiritual and scenic climax to any Arunachal tour. Our Tawang tour packages take your clients over the mighty Sela Pass to this Himalayan stronghold of Tibetan Buddhism.
The journey itself is the adventure: waterfalls at Nuranang, the war memorial, the frozen expanse of Sela and the frontier drama of Bumla Pass. We handle the Inner Line Permits and high-altitude logistics throughout.
The high point of the North East
Tawang rewards the long drive with sweeping monastery courtyards, prayer wheels and Himalayan silence. It is a destination for travellers who want depth, altitude and genuine frontier atmosphere.
Getting there safely
The route from Guwahati climbs through Dirang and over Sela Pass with real altitude gains. We build in an overnight at Dirang for acclimatisation and use experienced high-altitude drivers on the switchbacks.
Permits & season
An Inner Line Permit is required, and Bumla Pass needs a separate day-permit that we arrange locally. March–October is best; snow can close Sela Pass in deep winter.
